    Setting goals is an important tool for measuring success in students’ academic achievement as well as for a teacher measuring her own personal career success. Therefore, when Danielle Cifelli challenged her Horizons students with goals measuring their classroom progress, she also set a goal for herself: to follow her students up each grade teaching them each summer until they graduate from Horizons in ninth grade.

  • Horizons Celebrates 10 Years

    On Saturday evening, 300 guests listened to the stories of keynote speaker District of Columbia School Chancellor Michelle Rhee and Horizons students Luiggi Garcia, Freddy and Angelica Chacon during Horizons at 10 – a celebration of the wonderful program, which began at Maret School that has benefited underserved children from the Greater Washington area for 10 years.
