Experience what Horizons students and teachers accomplished during Summer 2010!

Summer 2010 was a very successful summer at both of our two program Sites. 165 students hit the ground running during the first week and continued their academic enrichment over the six-week program. Their activities ranged from literacy workshops in reading and bridge building in math class to producing a newspaper. View Summer 2010 Photos!

Horizons Gazette

Fourth grade teacher Danielle Cifelli inspired her students to become journalists as they produced the first Horizons newspaper, the Horizons Gazette. Students spent time researching newspapers to decide which sections they wanted to include in their paper. Then students interviewed teachers and fellow students, took photographs, typed and edited their articles, and then published two issues.
