Build-a-Book at Maret

On February 1, 2015, the wonderful Horizons Council at Maret hosted a Build-a-Book event for Maret and Horizons students.

Jake Tapper, anchor and chief Washington correspondent at CNN, shared his love of the Peanuts gang and encouraged students to create their own characters.  Mr. Tapper wrote the intro to the book, The Complete Peanuts: 1993 to 1994.


Build-a-Book at Norwood

On January 25, 2015, the wonderful Horizons Council at Norwood hosted a Build-a-Book event for Norwood and Horizons students.

The event featured imagination, fun crafts and readings from Pamela Duncan Edwards, author of such children's books as Honk!, Some Smug Slug, and Livingstone Mouse.

On March 2, 2014, Horizons hosted a Build-a-Book event. 

In partnership with Maret School, the event featured renowned author, ABC News commentator, and Maret grandparent Cokie Roberts.

Roberts read from her latest children's book Founding Mothers: Remembering the Ladies.
