Working in partnership with our families, sending schools, and host schools, HGW is committed to developing the whole child through experiences that build problem-solving skills, instill respect for self and others, and inspire a meaningful and choice-filled life.
Teachers and staff are essential to the HGW program. Our staff creates a joyful, nurturing, and inclusive community where students are encouraged to celebrate their unique selves. These natural mentorships enhance a sense of belonging for our students and serve as an additional resource for them.
Our program is bolstered by a highly qualified teaching staff of Lead Teachers, Reading Specialists, Water Safety Instructors, and more. We employ both new and veteran teachers.

Many of our first-time teachers, specialists, and staff return a second year to work during our summer program. Our students also greatly benefit from returning teachers–building that community positively impacts the students’ experience and their overall success.
