For over 24 years, Horizons Greater Washington has provided an award-winning academic and enrichment program for students residing in underserved communities in Washington, DC and Maryland. Across three program sites, our students are provided with dedicated teachers and intensive learning that improves their foundation for the school years ahead, balances academics and social emotional development, and provides the tools they need to thrive in school and beyond.

  • We serve K-8 students from local public and charter schools
  • 100% of HGW students qualify for free or reduced-price meals at the time of admission
  • Our students receive individualized instruction with a 5:1 student to teacher ratio
  • Each site has a dedicated Reading Specialist, Art Teacher, STEM Teacher, and Swim/PE Instructor
