Matt has been a member of the Horizons Greater Washington staff since 2019. He has worn a variety of hats in his time at Horizons, including middle school homeroom teacher, middle school English teacher, 9th grade bridge teacher, fall academy teacher, and swim instructor. He was also the recipient of the Horizons National Lyn McNaught Teacher of the Year Award in 2023. He drives over an hour to Horizons each day because he feels inspired by his students and coworkers.
Outside of Horizons, Matt is a high school English teacher, varsity track and field coach, and yearbook advisor in Baltimore, Maryland. In his spare time he enjoys running, coaching, and spending time with family/friends.
