Sydney Britton

Sydney Britton had one of her first opportunities to serve as a lead teacher in a classroom teaching with Horizons. Six years later, Sydney has expanded upon that foundation and serves as the H1 teacher at our St. Patrick’s site.

Each summer, Sydney asks her students to think and write about what they hope and dream to accomplish during the summer program. It’s a goal that can seem far off to them at the time. By the end of the six weeks, Sydney’s students are able to revisit these projects and see that what they dream for themselves is achievable and that they can have ownership in their learning.
